Stayed in the tent city at Hanuwantia which is on the banks of Narmada Sagar Reservoir. Beautiful location. Day weather was very comfortable. A lot of water and air activities to enjoy with a cultural program in the evening. Meals are very good with well-balanced spices. Must visit once in a lifetime during the Jal Mahotsav which is organized by the tourism department of the government of Madhya Pradesh. This year Jal Mahotsav has been organized from 15th October 2017 to 2nd January 2018. This was the 3rd year of Jal Mahotsav. Tent city package of 3 days 2 nights or 2 days 1 night includes all meals, few activities, and pick up drop from Indore or Khandwa.

It’s a very nice place, especially for a weekend stay with a group. Very nicely developed by the MP tourism department. The swiss cottages are awesome. They also have houseboats for staying. The Winter season is the best time to visit there. Especially in Jal Mahotsav so you can enjoy lots of water sports also. Must visit at least one time. The food is good but you can’t expect many options.

It is around 150km from Indore. It is best to come from Khandwa which is around 60 km. From Omkareshar it is around 80 Km. It is on backwater bank of Indira Sagar Dam. MP tourism organised “Jal Utsab” here. Boat riding is available. Water sports activities are available. Huge water.

Water sports activities are limited. The cruise ride is excellent. The prices are reasonable. The food is great. The service is slow. The staff is cooperative. Ready to help? The toiletries provided are of good quality. Mr. Shrivastav.. the charge takes good care of us. It’s a mention since it is government property. Peaceful, clean, and helping individuals… Nice property. Full wooden structure. I would strongly recommend it. A nice family gathering place.
